Summary

Ectopic prostatic tissue (EPT), rarely found outside the genitourinary tract, presents diagnostic challenges. This case highlights a unique instance of EPT discovered in the right paracolic gutter.

Area of Science:

  • Urology
  • Surgical Pathology
  • Gastroenterology

Background:

  • Ectopic prostatic tissue (EPT) is uncommon, typically located within the male genitourinary system.
  • Extragenitourinary EPT is exceptionally rare, posing significant preoperative diagnostic difficulties.
