Background:

Traditional visual field representation uses polar azimuthal equidistant projection, exaggerating areas with increasing visual angle.
Central visual field defects necessitate alternative mapping methods, with parabolic projection proposed for central visual field enlargement.

To analyze cartographic deformations of a proposed parabolic projection for visual field representation.
To compare the parabolic projection with the traditional equidistant projection for accuracy in depicting visual field defects.
