[Evoked otoacoustic emissions. Results in hypoacusis]

Otoacoustic emissions are present in the majority of normal hearing ears. Hearing loss of different types generally doesn't show evoked acoustic emissions. Sixty-seven impaired ears of different degrees and types where examined to precise the kind of hearing losses unable to elicit oto-acoustic emissions.
