Effect of fixation method on intergonial width stability after mandibular setback via bilateral sagittal split

Bilateral sagittal split osteotomy (BSSO) for mandibular setback can decrease intergonial width. Positional screws showed a smaller decrease compared to miniplates, with no correlation to setback amount.
