Summary

Enhanced depth imaging spectral-domain OCT (EDI OCT) shows neural tissue parameters like Bruch's membrane opening - minimum rim width (BMO-MRW) and prelaminar neural tissue (PLNT) area are superior for glaucoma diagnosis. These metrics perform comparably to the standard peripapillary retinal nerve fiber layer (pRNFL) thickness protocol.
