  • Data Collection: Administered at three time points during the first academic year.

  • Anxiety scores fluctuated, peaking mid-first semester (mean 57) and decreasing by second semester mid-term (mean 54).
  • Depression, obsessive-compulsive, and somatization scores also showed variations across the academic year.
  • Phobia scores remained relatively stable throughout the study period.

Conclusions:

  • Health science students exhibit significant fluctuations in psychological distress, notably anxiety.
