Summary

Optical measurement systems (OMSs) are crucial for inspecting metal additive manufacturing (AM) parts. Handheld laser triangulation and structured blue-light scanners offer the highest accuracy for geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) verification of selective laser melting (SLM) components.
