Medieval menarche: Changes in pubertal timing before and after the Black Death

Medieval adolescent females experienced improved health after the Black Death, indicated by earlier ages at menarche. This study analyzed skeletal remains to understand female health trends before and after the 1348-1350 CE epidemic.
