Individualized Therapy for Hypothyroidism: Is T4 Enough for Everyone?

Some hypothyroid patients on levothyroxine (LT4) therapy experience persistent symptoms due to abnormal thyroid hormone (TH) metabolism. Combination therapy with LT4 and liothyronine (LT3) may benefit these individuals.
