Summary

Plasma levels of endocan and BOC proteins were elevated in heart failure (HF) patients with pulmonary hypertension (PH). These levels decreased after heart transplantation (HT), correlating with improved hemodynamic function and reduced PH. Further research is needed for biomarker applications.
