Ocular cicatricial pemphigoid (OCP) is a severe autoimmune eye disease causing vision loss. Early diagnosis and treatment are crucial to manage complications like dry eye and corneal damage.

Background:

Ocular cicatricial pemphigoid (OCP) is a chronic autoimmune blistering disease affecting the eyes.
It leads to progressive conjunctival scarring, eyelid abnormalities, and severe dry eye syndrome.
Complications include corneal keratinization, ulcers, and potential permanent vision loss.

Observation:

This case series presents three patients diagnosed with OCP.
All patients experienced severe dry eye syndrome, entropion, and corneal erosions.
The progression of OCP led to irreversible vision impairment in these individuals.

Findings:

OCP significantly impacts the ocular surface, causing debilitating symptoms.
Systemic immunosuppressive and corticosteroid therapy are standard treatments for OCP.
