Blood-brain barrier (BBB) impairment is more significant in Moyamoya disease (MMD) patients than in atherosclerotic cerebrovascular disease (ACVD) patients. Superficial temporal artery-middle cerebral artery (STA-MCA) bypass improves cortical perfusion, especially in areas with BBB impairment.

Background:

Purpose of the Study:
