Acute supplementation with beetroot juice improves endothelial function in HIV-infected individuals

Nitrate-rich beetroot juice (BJ) acutely improves vascular function, specifically flow-mediated dilation (FMD), in both healthy individuals and those with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). This suggests BJ can enhance nitric oxide (NO) bioavailability and endothelial function in diverse populations.
