Background:

Building Uplifted Families (BUF) is a community initiative addressing health and economic disparities in Charlotte, NC.
Formative evaluation supported iterative improvement and cross-sector partner collaboration.
Challenges with electronic data collection via REDCap Cloud required innovative solutions.

Purpose of the Study:

To develop and implement the BUF Rapid Dissemination (BUF-RD) model.
To improve the efficiency of data collection, integration, analysis, and dissemination.
To reduce the time lag between data collection and result availability for enhanced program responsiveness.

Developed a multistage data governance system (BUF-RD model) using open-source technologies.
Stage 1: Data collection; Stage 2: Data integration and analysis; Stage 3: Dissemination.
Utilized RStudio, RShiny, and Shiny Server for an interactive results dashboard in Stage 3.

The BUF-RD model successfully reduced the data collection to dissemination timeline from 3 months to 2 weeks during a 6-month beta test.
