Reduced PICU respiratory admissions during COVID-19

COVID-19 pandemic mitigation strategies significantly reduced pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) admissions for viral lower respiratory tract infections (LRTIs) in South America. This included major drops in respiratory syncytial virus and influenza cases during the 2020 winter season.
