Persistent symptoms after COVID-19 may stem from vascular inflammation. Positron emission tomography with 2-deoxy-2-[18F]fluoro-D-glucose ([18F]FDG-PET/CT) revealed higher blood pool ratios in recovered patients, indicating ongoing inflammation.
