Direct sciatic nerve electrical stimulation (DISNES) effectively treats complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) foot pain, improving quality of life and reducing disability. This novel technique offers relief where spinal cord stimulation failed, particularly for disabling foot pain in CRPS I.

- DISNES also alleviates autonomic features and dystonia, though further long-term studies are warranted.
