Non-invasive ventilation (NIV) therapy significantly altered respiratory center sensitivity to CO2 in patients with obesity hypoventilation syndrome (OHS) and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Adherence to NIV correlated with improved CO2 sensitivity.
