Abstract:
Retraction: 'Negative feedback of NF-κB signaling by long noncoding RNA MALAT1 controls lipopolysaccharide-induced inflammation injury in human lung fibroblasts WI-38', by Wei Zhu and Xuelin Men, J Cell Biochem. 2020; 1945-1952: The above article, published online on 21 October 2019 in Wiley Online Library (https://doi.org/10.1002/jcb.29429), has been retracted by agreement between the authors, the journal's Editor in Chief, Prof. Dr. Christian Behl, and Wiley Periodicals LLC. The authors asked to retract this manuscript, initially, but were not available for further comments during the investigation. The retraction has been agreed following an investigation based on allegations raised by a third party. Raw data could not be provided and thus the validity of the overall results could not be confirmed.

Somatic Spinal Reflexes
One of the most well-known somatic spinal reflexes is the stretch reflex, which is activated by the sudden stretching of a muscle. This reflex involves the activation of specialized sensory receptors called muscle spindles, which are located in the muscle tissue and detect changes in the length and speed of muscle contractions. When a muscle is suddenly...

Relaxation of Skeletal Muscles
When an action potential reaches the axon terminal, it depolarizes the membrane and opens voltage-gated sodium channels. Sodium ions enter the cell, further depolarizing the presynaptic membrane. This depolarization causes voltage-gated calcium channels to open....
