Area of Science:

  • Pediatric Urology
  • Vascular Oncology
  • Diagnostic Imaging

Background:

  • Bladder hemangioma is an exceptionally rare benign vascular tumor.
  • Diagnosis in pediatric patients presents unique challenges.
  • Understanding imaging characteristics is crucial for management.

Observation:

  • A pediatric case of bladder hemangioma is presented.
  • Postvoid excretory urography and bladder ultrasound were utilized for lesion detection.
  • Clinical presentation and diagnostic findings were documented.

Findings:

  • Bladder hemangioma was confirmed as the diagnosis.
  • The study highlights the utility of excretory urography and ultrasound in identifying bladder hemangioma.
  • Discussion includes comparative analysis of imaging modalities.

Implications:

  • This case contributes to the limited literature on pediatric bladder hemangioma.
  • It emphasizes the importance of considering rare diagnoses in pediatric urinary tract abnormalities.
  • The discussion on imaging modalities provides insights for clinicians in diagnosing similar conditions.
