Severe obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and low nocturnal oxygen levels independently increase cancer risk. This highlights the need for increased cancer awareness in individuals diagnosed with OSA.

- In individuals suspected of OSA and free of cancer at baseline, OSA severity and nocturnal hypoxemia are independently associated with incident cancer.
- Findings suggest a need for targeted cancer risk awareness in OSA patients.
