COVID-19 (COronaVIrus Disease 2019) can cause liver damage through multiple factors, likely driven by the immune response to SARS-CoV-2 (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2). Monitoring liver function is crucial for patients with COVID-19.
