A child developed antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibody-associated vasculitis and diffuse alveolar hemorrhage following an asymptomatic coronavirus disease 2019 infection. This is the first reported pediatric case of coronavirus disease 2019-induced autoimmune disease.

Background:

- Negative PCR tests ruled out acute COVID-19 as the direct cause of the vasculitis.
- This represents the first documented instance of COVID-19-associated autoimmune disease in a pediatric patient.

- This case highlights the potential for delayed autoimmune complications following COVID-19 in children.
- Further research is needed to understand the mechanisms linking COVID-19 to pediatric autoimmune diseases.
