Summary

Patients with advanced atrioventricular block and prolonged QTc intervals may experience torsades de pointes (TdP). Frequent ventricular premature beats also contribute to TdP risk in these patients.

Background:

  • Torsades de pointes (TdP) is a life-threatening ventricular arrhythmia.
  • Understanding the trigger factors for TdP in patients with atrioventricular (AV) block is crucial for prevention and management.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To elucidate the trigger factors for TdP in patients diagnosed with AV block.
  • To compare electrophysiological characteristics between patients with and without TdP.
