Impaired left ventricular (LV) function in pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) is linked to LV underfilling, not intrinsic dysfunction. This study found reduced LV function correlated with smaller LV volumes and atrial volumes, suggesting underfilling as the primary mechanism.
