Morphosyntactic but not lexical corpus-based probabilities can substitute for cloze probabilities in reading

This study shows corpus-based models can estimate word predictability as accurately as human cloze tasks. Morphosyntactic predictability in Russian is easier to predict than lexical predictability during reading.
