Rotational thromboelastometry (ROTEM) showed moderate correlation with standard coagulation tests for monitoring unfractionated heparin anticoagulation during extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO). Further research is needed to establish ROTEM targets for ECMO patients.
