This study tested a new treatment combining transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) with virtual reality (VR) for veterans with posttraumatic stress disorder. The tDCS+VR protocol aims to reduce hyperarousal symptoms by modulating neural activity during trauma cue exposure.
