Colonic paracellular permeability and circulating zonulin-related proteins

Circulating zonulin and pre-haptoglobin 2 (pre-HP2) do not accurately reflect gut permeability in irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). Studies using the Cusabio zonulin kit require cautious re-examination due to kit non-specificity.
