    Summary

Continuous-wave lasers enable enhanced second-harmonic generation (SHG) and sum frequency generation (SFG) in indium selenide (InSe)-integrated microfibers. This novel material integration offers potential for polarization-controlled nonlinear optical applications within fiber systems.

  • Polarization analysis to study SHG dependency.
  • Main Results:

    • Greatly enhanced SHG and SFG observed in InSe-integrated microfiber with milliwatt CW lasers.
    • Experimental results show quadratic and linear power dependencies for SHG and SFG, respectively.
    • Strong polarization dependence of SHG demonstrated, linked to the non-axisymmetrical InSe distribution.

    Conclusions:

    • Layered InSe integration significantly enhances nonlinear optical processes in microfibers.
    • The device exhibits controllable SHG polarization, paving the way for polarization manipulation.
    • The proposed InSe-integrated microfiber is a promising platform for all-fiber nonlinear optical applications.
