Long-Term Implications of Abnormal Left Ventricular Strain During Sepsis

Septic cardiomyopathy, indicated by left ventricular global longitudinal systolic strain, is linked to long-term cardiovascular events in sepsis survivors. This association is U-shaped, particularly in younger patients with pre-existing cardiac disease and comorbidities.
