Background:

  • Effective debriefing is crucial for successful simulation-based learning (SBL).
  • This study compares instructor-led hot debriefing (PSHD) and cold debriefing (PSCD) within case-based learning (CBL) and SBL environments.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To evaluate the impact of PSHD and PSCD on nursing students' clinical performance and satisfaction.
  • To determine the effectiveness of immediate versus delayed debriefing in SBL.

  • A nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design was employed with 59 fourth-year nursing students.
  • Students were randomly assigned to either PSHD or PSCD groups.
