This study introduces a novel 4-layer Convolutional Neural Network-Long Short-Term Memory (CNN-LSTM) network for Human Activity Recognition (HAR) using smartphone sensor data. The proposed deep learning model significantly improves activity recognition accuracy compared to existing methods.
