- A 33-year-old pregnant woman presented with a large right adrenal mass.
- Initial imaging revealed a 7.9 cm multilobulated adrenal mass.
- Biochemical tests were initially concerning for pheochromocytoma.
Findings:
- The adrenal mass spontaneously resolved within four months.
- Resolution was attributed to a resolving unilateral adrenal hemorrhage.
- Repeat hormone tests were negative, ruling out pheochromocytoma.
Implications:
- Adrenal hemorrhage should be considered in pregnant patients with adrenal masses.
- Spontaneous resolution of adrenal masses can occur.
- This case highlights the importance of serial imaging and biochemical testing in managing adrenal incidentalomas during pregnancy.
