Endomyocardial fibrosis: a restrictive cardiomyopathy in developing countries

Endomyocardial fibrosis (EF) is a rare restrictive cardiomyopathy. This study describes nine Colombian patients with EF, highlighting clinical and imaging features, and emphasizing preserved ventricular function despite disease.

- The findings highlight the importance of recognizing EF's varied presentations, even when not initially suspected, and underscore the utility of cardiac MRI in diagnosis.
