[Prerequisites for the introduction of a computer-assisted radiologic organization system]

This paper describes the steps necessary for the introduction of a radiological information system (RIS) for organizational and work-flow support within a large radiology department. The authors experience with a pilot trial of a system purchased and adapted to departmental needs is reported.
