Associations of sarcopenic obesity versus sarcopenia alone with functionality

Sarcopenic obesity (SO) definitions vary, but this study found SO is associated with fewer functional impairments than sarcopenia alone in older adults. Obesity may even protect against functional decline in sarcopenic individuals.
