[Prognostic factors in systemic lupus erythematosus in adolescents (computer analysis)]

A computer analysis of 88 signs of systemic lupus erythematosus in 99 adolescents revealed independent unfavorable factors impairing significantly prognosis 5 yrs after the onset of the disease. The main risk factors were the 3rd degree of the disease activity and renal involvement. The only prognostically favorable fact was cytostatic therapy of 3 mos duration initiated during the 1st year of the disease.
