Summary

3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA)-assisted therapy significantly reduced PTSD symptoms and functional impairment in a phase 3 trial. This novel treatment is safe and well-tolerated, even for patients with comorbidities.

Background:

  • Expedited clinical evaluation of MDMA-assisted therapy is warranted based on these findings.
