[Lunate malacia and the Swanson endoprosthesis]

The etiology and the treatment of the aseptic necrosis of the lunate bone (M. Kienböck) is still today debated. In the literature we find more than twenty different procedures of treatment. Our follow-up of seven patients with Swanson Lunatum prosthesis showed subjectiv and functional good results whereas the radiological findings weren't satisfactory.
