Senescent cells in human adipose tissue: A cross-sectional study

Human adipose tissue senescence differs by location. Femoral fat has more senescent cells, while abdominal fat senescence correlates with inflammation and larger fat cells.

- Human subcutaneous AT exhibits depot-specific differences in senescence.
- Abdominal AT senescence is more strongly associated with inflammatory markers and larger adipocytes.
