"Monitoring of medical devices by ansm. The surveillance of medical devices represents an immense field which is ensured, in an evolving European framework, by the health agencies of each of the States of the EU. In France, the ANSM is in charge of this surveillance : market surveillance, which is based, among other things, on the creation of medical registers which allow real-life surveillance; centralization of incidents and participation of the French agency in the European vigilance system. The French agency is also participating, within this European framework, in a reinforced process of designation and control of notified bodies which play a major role in the evaluation of medical devices."
