Dual plating for bipolar clavicle fractures: A case report

Summary
Bipolar clavicle fractures, rare injuries affecting both the medial and lateral clavicle, can be effectively treated with surgery. This study demonstrates dual plating as a successful operative management for these complex fractures.

- Dual plating using a VA-LCP anterior clavicle plate and an LCP superior anterior clavicle plate with lateral extension was performed.
- Bony union was achieved at 4 months postoperatively.
- No surgical complications were reported.
Implications:
- Dual plating is an effective surgical strategy for bipolar clavicle fractures.
- This approach offers a viable solution for managing rare and complex clavicle injuries.
- Further research may explore the long-term outcomes of this dual plating technique.
