L-Thyroxine (T4) may stimulate thyroid cancer growth by binding to integrin αvβ3. This hormone analogue receptor is found on cancer cells, potentially increasing proliferation and metastasis. Tetraiodothyroacetic acid (tetrac) may block these effects.
