Neurophysiological Stress Response and Mood Changes Induced by High-Intensity Interval Training: A Pilot Study

High-intensity interval training (HIIT) is feasible and can acutely impact mood states. This pilot study found HIIT increased stress hormones and temporarily lowered mood, with mood improving 30 minutes post-exercise.
