Abstract:
The paper is concerned with experience in teaching clinical pharmacology in the Donetsk Medical Institute. The authors discuss the appropriateness of teaching clinical pharmacology (CP) to fourth-year students, lectures in CP to fourth-, fifth- and sixth-year students in accordance with the study of the main clinical specialties (therapy, surgery, pediatrics, etc.), and introduction of a cycle of lectures and practical studies on CP in the curriculum of clinicians' postgraduate education. In the authors' opinion, a clinician who has mastered CP fundamentals, should be employed on CP teaching.
