Gamification has gained popularity among clinical nurse educators as a method to engage novice and experienced nurses in higher-level thinking. Classic board games can be cost-effectively transformed into educational games; however, it is important to use a clinical reasoning framework to ensure that learning outcomes focus on stimulating higher-level thinking.
