  • A 5-year academic period evaluated fourteen cohorts of medical students (n=68).
  • The curriculum integrated basic pharmacology, pharmacotherapy, and application-based medication management for high-risk patients.
  • An interprofessional home visit experience was incorporated.

  • Statistically significant improvements were observed in students' pharmacotherapeutic knowledge (pre-test: 57.3, post-test: 71.8; P<.001).

  • Student confidence and attitudes towards pharmacotherapy tasks, such as dosing and resource utilization, also improved.

Conclusions:

  • The intervention successfully enhanced third-year medical students' knowledge, attitudes, and skills in managing high-risk medications and patient populations.
  • The curriculum fostered valuable interprofessional interactions among faculty and learners from diverse disciplines.
