Abstract:
The influence of different oxygen content in the inhaled air was examined in 21 healthy male volunteers using noninvasive methods. Tidal volume, breathing frequency, minute ventilation, heart period duration, stroke volume factor, cardiac output factor, arterial blood pressure, and total peripheral resistance factor were measured. It is shown that the reactions of the cardiovascular parameters to a decrease of oxygen content in inhaled air were more sensitive than those of ventilatory parameters.
