Summary

Phantom stimulation in cochlear implants (CIs) can improve hearing for users with residual hearing. Electric-acoustic stimulation (EAS) and electric stimulation with phantom stimulation (EPS) showed similar benefits, but combining them with spectral overlap degraded speech perception.
